Barbara Ellen Grillo née Orlob was a single mother to her only son Christian during a period in which women faced more significant discrimination than today. Women then couldn't even secure credit cards without a husband's authority, yet she was able to found Collins & Associates, a successful human resources company for scientific, engineering and technical positions for aerospace.
She was personally aware how supporting a single mother in her advancement benefits an entire family and can lift a family out of poverty and into self-sufficient freedom.
Barb's Blessings was formed in 2022 as a private foundation to educate and train single working mothers for better employment opportunities.
To see that funds are available for single working mothers with dependent children with a desire to pursue an education through a trade school, technical school, or community college to provide a better future for herself and her family.
